As part of this celebration of the richness of life on Earth, the Smithsonian‟s National Museum of Natural History (NMNH) showcases a different species each day on the front page of its web site. Each plant or animal featured as a Species of the Day is chosen for a particular reason. In this challenge, you'll work in teams to learn about one of the featured species.

Task

Read about some of the creatures featured in the Species of the Day Archive (www.mnh.si.edu/). Working in teams, select your favourite species and use library resources and Bing to find further information and images about the species. Using Microsoft Photo Story 3 or Windows® Live™ Movie Maker, create a public service announcement that tells the story of the species you chose. Share your creations with the broader Shout community through the Shout 2 - Study folder.
